chief minister yogi Adityanath held a high-level review meeting on heatwave management at lal bahadur shastri Bhawan on Wednesday. While reviewing the preparations regarding the incidents caused by heatwave, he gave necessary guidelines to the concerned departments. He instructed to be especially vigilant regarding heatwave. The chief minister said that we cannot accept the loss of life due to heatwave. Such loss of life cannot be compensated by giving compensation. For us, every loss of life is our personal loss. The whole family gets destroyed in these incidents. He said that heatwave-like situation has started arising in some districts of the state, in such a situation all departments need to work with caution. He said that it is important to make people aware of the reasons, prevention and preparation related to heatwave through extensive publicity at all the districts and tehsil levels of the state, as well as to protect the forests of the state from fire.
Instructions given to the Forest Department to be vigilant
He said that it has to be ensured that any kind of mischievous elements cannot carry out incidents of arson in the forests. For this, patrolling should be intensified. He instructed the Forest Department and the fire Department to increase vigilance regarding prevention of fire caused by sparks. He said that the role of the fire Department will be important. At the same time, the Forest Department will have to ensure the provision of drinking water to birds and wild animals. He said that the accountability of the forest guards and forest workers of the Forest Department should be ensured.
He instructed that early warning systems should be installed in every district of the state, do not worry about the expenditure incurred in this. Early warning systems should also be installed in sensitive areas, so that people can be informed about the impending disaster in time. The Pradhan, Gram Sevak should be made accountable and action should be ensured by fixing accountability from time to time. In the meeting, the chief minister mentioned the fact that the problem of lightning is also more in districts with high risk of heat wave and said that if the alert is received 3 hours in advance, then the movement of people in sensitive areas can be restricted. Regular monitoring of the aspects related to the installation, operation and coverage of these equipment and warning systems should also be done.
