CM rekha Gupta inspected the Sunhri Pul drain!

Every year, the problem of waterlogging becomes serious during the rains in Delhi. To stop this, the government has started a campaign to clean the drains on a large scale. In this episode, chief minister rekha Gupta inspected the Sunhri Pul drain. She told that trials are being done through machines here so that it can be found out how to remove the silt that has accumulated over the years, which has now become as hard as stone.

Many types of machines are being tested

The chief minister said that fire brigade machines, high pressure water jets and other modern technologies are being used to clean the drain. Apart from this, different agencies have also been called to find a solution to this problem. The government's goal is to complete the cleaning of drains before the monsoon this time, so that there is no problem of waterlogging during the rains.

Problem of waterlogging in delhi every year

The problem of waterlogging arises as soon as it rains in many areas of Delhi. Especially ITO, Minto Bridge, Ring Road, Moti nagar and other low-lying areas get flooded, which affects traffic and people have to face problems. Many times roads also have to be closed due to waterlogging. In view of this, this time the government has started preparations in advance.

Presence of experts and officials

During the inspection, Lieutenant governor V.K. Saxena and minister Pravesh Verma were also present along with chief minister rekha Gupta. He instructed the officials that there should not be any delay in the cleaning campaign and this work should be completed on priority basis. The delhi government has become fully active to deal with the problem of waterlogging before the monsoon. It is expected that with this big campaign of cleaning the drains, this time the people of delhi will get relief from the problem of waterlogging.
