AIMPLB elated with success of delhi Dharna…
After the successful protest against the Waqf Amendment Bill in delhi on march 17, the All india Muslim Personal Law Board has announced to start a nationwide movement. Board spokesperson and convener of the Action Committee formed against the Waqf Bill, Dr. S.Q.R. Ilyas expressed gratitude to the leaders of Muslim organizations, civil society movements, Dalit, tribal, OBC and other minority communities and said that without the help of Allah and the cooperation of all these sections, the historic protest in delhi would not have been possible. The 31-member Action Committee formed by the Board has decided that this bill is not only controversial and biased but is also extremely harmful to minority rights. Therefore, a nationwide movement will be launched against it through constitutional, legal and democratic means.
Demonstration will be held in patna on march 26 and in vijayawada on march 29
As part of the first phase of the movement, large-scale protests will be organized in front of the assemblies in patna on march 26 and in vijayawada on march 29. The central leadership team of AIMPLB, national and provincial representatives of various religious and social organizations will participate in these protests. Along with this, prominent representatives of civil society, minority communities, and leaders of Dalit, tribal and OBC classes will also participate in these movements.
The board has also invited leaders and MPs of various political parties to these programs. Due to the parliament session, most parties have issued whips to their MPs, yet the board is trying to ensure that at least the opposition members of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) participate in these protests.
Many leaders will participate in the patna program
State level leaders of JDU, RJD, congress and Lok Janshakti Party, including the Chief Minister, have been invited to the patna program. In Andhra Pradesh, invitations have also been sent to the ruling TDP, ysr congress, congress Party and Left Front parties. Spokesperson Dr. Ilyas said that through these two dharnas, a clear message has to be given to the BJP's allies, either they should withdraw their support from this bill or be deprived of our support.
According to Dr. Ilyas, the Muslim Personal Law Board has prepared a detailed and phased plan for this movement. Under this, protest programs will be organized in the capital of every state of the country. Large scale public meetings will be held in Hyderabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Malerkotla (Punjab) and Ranchi. Along with this, human chains will also be formed. He said that this campaign will be widely publicized through print, electronic and social media. Hashtag campaigns will be run on 'X' (formerly Twitter). Dharnas, conferences and demonstrations will be organized in every major city and district headquarters and memorandums will be submitted to the President through the district Magistrate and Collector.
