What is the whole truth of Dharavi LPG blast?

A massive LPG explosion has been reported in Dharavi area of mumbai on march 24. The video of this blast is viral on social media from different angles, in which fierce flames of fire and black smoke can be seen. Whoever saw it was shocked but even more shocking is the revelation that came to light during the investigation of this incident. During the police investigation, it was revealed that parking tax was being collected illegally in the No Parking Zone and this illegal business was being run at the behest of Tabrez Sheikh and Tariq Jabbar Sheikh.

What happened on the day of the incident?

On the day of the incident, truck number MH 04 FJ 1320 and tempo number MH 01 CQ 0252 were parked in double parking on the roadside in the No Parking area on Sion-Dharavi Road. These vehicles were loaded with explosives and flammable gas cylinders. Apart from this, motor truck MH 01 DR 6664 and other vehicles were also parked at the same place, which disrupted the traffic and caused a serious incident like explosion.

Many people are involved

The investigation conducted by the police also found that the driver of truck number MH 04 FJ 1320 was Babu Gopal Pujari (45 years), while this truck was owned by hp gas cylinder supplier Ninad suresh Kelkar (50 years). nagesh Subhash Navale (28 years) was named as its manager. Similarly, Velu Nadar, driver of tempo MH 01 CQ 0252 and Sonu gautam Charmohan (24 years), driver of motor truck MH 01 DR 6664 were also found involved in it. Also, ration shop owner Anil Kumar Gulabchand Gupta (50 years) was also named among the people involved in this illegal activity.

Tarbez Tariq Sheikh (whose real name is Tariq Jabbar Sheikh) and his associates took money from car and truck drivers and allowed them to park their vehicles illegally. This negligence led to a gas explosion, which killed many people and caused huge property damage. The incident took place on 24 march 2025 at 9:50 pm near Nisarg Udyan, Uttar Vahini, LBS Road, Dharavi, Mumbai. In this case, the police have registered a case against all the concerned drivers, owners and those who got the vehicle parked illegally. The police investigation made it clear that these people were already aware of the potential danger, yet they did this deliberately.
