Bangladesh interim government's chief advisor Mohammad Yunus is going to meet Chinese President Xi jinping soon. Yunus is on a visit to China from Wednesday (March 26) and during this visit, he will meet the Chinese President on friday (March 28). However, many speculations are being made about Mohammad Yunus' meeting with Jinping. The biggest reason for meeting jinping is to get huge investment and loan from china in Bangladesh.

According to Bangladeshi media reports, in the high-level meeting between Yunus and jinping, there will be talks on increasing business and investment. Apart from this, Mohammad Yunus will also hold four separate meetings with representatives of big Chinese companies. Its objective will be to increase China's investment in Bangladesh. Bangladeshi media quoted diplomatic sources of both the countries as saying that the interim government of bangladesh is insisting on getting financial help from china to develop the country.

China placed the condition of 'One china Policy' in front of Bangladesh

However, in return for Bangladesh's economic aid, china has placed the condition of 'One China Policy' in front of interim government's chief advisor Mohammad Yunus. Apart from this, the dragon wants bangladesh to join China Global Development Initiative (GDI) as well.

Bangladesh's policy regarding One china Policy

According to Bangladeshi media reports, this time bangladesh can take a soft stand on China's One china Policy. Which means that Mohammad Yunus is going to accept all the conditions of China. He will go to beijing to meet jinping on march 28.

Will bangladesh betray Taiwan?

China wants bangladesh to strongly support it on the One china Policy and taiwan issue as per its stand made in 2005. In fact, the then Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao visited Dhaka on 7 april 2005. The joint communiqué during the visit said bangladesh reiterated that china is one and the government of the People's Republic of china is the only legitimate government representing the whole of China.

Officials in Dhaka said the joint statement issued between bangladesh and china on July 10, 2024 also said, "Bangladesh reiterated its firm commitment to the One china Policy and reiterated its position that the government of the People's Republic of china represents the whole of china and taiwan is part of china and bangladesh supports china on issues related to China's core interests and China's efforts to safeguard its national sovereignty and territorial integrity."
