

LIC offices will remain open from march 29 to this date!
life insurance corporation of india (LIC) on friday announced that its offices in many parts of the country will remain open on march 29, 30 and 31. The purpose behind this decision is to ensure smooth operations as well as to avoid any kind of inconvenience to the policyholders. This step of lic has been taken after the advisory issued by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of india (IRDAI) on march 12. lic is focused on this thing
The company said, "To avoid any difficulty to the policyholders, the offices under the jurisdiction of the zones and divisions of life insurance corporation of india will be kept open for normal operations as per official working hours on 29.03.2025, 30.03.2025 and 31.03.2025." lic Managing director and CEO siddharth Mohanty recently reiterated that the company's focus is on providing insurance at affordable rates, especially to the rural and economically weaker sections of the society.

Meanwhile, lic has also continued its growth. The insurance company grew the annual group renewable premium by 28.29 per cent and individual premium by 7.9 per cent in the first 11 months of FY25. Its total premium collection reached Rs 1.90 lakh crore by february 2025, which is 1.90 percent more than last year.
However, individual premium also saw a slight decline of 1.07 percent in february 2025 and stood at Rs 4,837.87 crore, while it was Rs 4,890.44 crore in february 2024. In the month of february alone, 12.02 lakh policies were issued in the individual segment, 1,430 policies and schemes were issued in the group annually renewable category. Across all categories, the total number of lic policies stood at 12.04 lakh this month. Between april 2024 and february 2025, lic collected Rs 52,382.58 crore from individual premium and with this their number reached 1.46 crore.
