DCP sudhakar Pathare posted in Port Zone of mumbai police has died in a road accident. Before becoming an IPS, he had worked as an officer in many government departments. sudhakar Pathare did MSc (Agriculture) and LLB. He became a district Special Auditor by giving competitive examination in the year 1995. After this, in 1996, he was selected as Sales Tax Officer Class 1. After being selected as Deputy Superintendent of police in the year 1998, he joined the police department.

Apart from this, he has served as Deputy Commissioner of police in mumbai, thane, Pune, Vashi, Navi mumbai, thane city. Apart from maintaining law and order, he also actively participated in various programs of maharashtra Police.
