mumbai Police's closure report has made shocking revelations about Disha Salian's death. The report states that the cause of death was suicide and that Salian was suffering from depression due to various reasons, including her father's misuse of money.
The Malvani police, which investigated the incident, submitted the closure report to a senior officer on february 4, 2021 (as per the rules of accidental death report). The officer said that as part of the investigation, the Malvani police recorded the statements of Salian's friends and some witnesses.

He said that during this time it was revealed that Salian was upset due to failure in work, misunderstanding with friends and her father's misuse of her money. The officer said that the police have also recorded the statements of the actors with whom Disha Salian was communicating on behalf of her company. After the political uproar over the case, the mumbai police had formed a special investigation team, although its report is still awaited.
father demanded a fresh investigation
Last week, Disha's father Satish Salian approached the bombay high court demanding a fresh investigation into the mysterious circumstances under which Disha died in june 2020. He also urged the high court to register an FIR against shiv sena (Uttar Pradesh) leader Aditya thackeray and order the transfer of the investigation to the Central Bureau of Investigation.
