Shiv Sena (UBT) leader, yuva Sena chief and mla aditya thackeray held a press conference at Matoshree in mumbai today (April 1). He said that this tax will affect the pockets of the common people and the government should rethink on this decision.
Taunt on april Fool Government
aditya thackeray said that today april Fool Day is celebrated all over the world, but in maharashtra it should be celebrated as "Achhe Din Sarkar". He termed the Mahagathbandhan government formed with the blessings of the election commission as "April Fool Government" and alleged that this government did not fulfill any promise. He appealed to Mumbaikars to strongly oppose this new "Adani Tax" being imposed in the name of "Solid Waste Tax".
As the population of mumbai is increasing, the amount of solid waste is also increasing. Due to this, the cost of waste management has also increased, which is going to have a direct impact on Mumbaikars. Expressing objection to this, aditya thackeray said that the government's policy is not to waive taxes, but to collect more taxes from the common citizens.
What did aditya thackeray say?
He said that the current government had promised to make mumbai pothole-free, but only Bhoomi Pujan was done before the elections, the work has not started yet. He raised the question that how much road construction work has been done and how good is its quality. He also alleged that the government is filling the pockets of contractors, while the water problem in mumbai is increasing.
