Emergency meeting of Ulema-Imams in mumbai on Waqf Bill…
Before the Waqf Bill was introduced in parliament, Ulemas and Imams held an emergency meeting in Mumbai. It was said that the kind of turmoil in the country regarding the Waqf Bill 2024 is very worrying, especially for the Muslims of India, it is a 'do or die' situation because through this bill, an attempt is being made to deliberately loot Muslim properties.
In the press release related to the meeting, it was said that the way a committee was formed on the Waqf Bill and even after obtaining public opinion, the Modi government took a unilateral decision and introduced this bill in parliament for passing. This is a direct attempt to forcibly occupy the Waqf lands by trampling the Constitution of the country under its feet. In this connection, on tuesday (01 April), Raza Academy called an emergency meeting of Ulema, Imam and Madrasa teachers at Handi Wali mosque in mumbai with immediate effect and appealed to raise voice against this bill.
'Waqf Bill is a conspiracy to capture the properties of Muslims'
Addressing the meeting, the head of the organization, Alhaj Mohammad Saeed Noori Sahib said, "Waqf Bill 2024 is a direct conspiracy to capture the properties of Muslims, which cannot be tolerated under any circumstances. He further said that this bill is not only anti-constitutional but also an attack on the religious freedom of Muslims."
He further said, "People of other religions should also remember that today this attack is happening on Muslim Waqf properties, tomorrow it will also reach the Parsi community, Sikhs, Buddhists and other religious places. If this law is not stopped, no Gurudwara, Parsi Agni Mandir or other religious place will be safe, so people of all religions will have to unite against this dictatorial government.
