Protest in mumbai mosque against Waqf Bill...

After the Waqf Amendment Bill was passed in lok sabha and rajya sabha, protests have started against it in different parts of the country. Meanwhile, in maharashtra too, people of the Muslim community protested against the Waqf Bill in Mumbai's Sunni Mosque. During this, the protesters tied black bands and raised slogans against the bill. Regarding this bill, Mufti Mohammad Zubair Barkati said, "The Waqf Bill which has been passed in lok sabha and rajya sabha is not completely in favor of islam and Muslims. This is their own thinking, which they are saying that it is better for Muslims, but we can see from a distance that it is against Muslims."

'Will approach the supreme Court'

Mufti Zubair further said, "Muslims completely trust Sunni Ulemas. Whatever statement they give and support will be considered correct. Whatever rights we can get through the supreme court within the legal framework in the country, we will try our best for our rights."

'The government did not listen'

In Uttar Pradesh too, Muslims were seen protesting against this bill. A youth in sambhal said, "We are angry that the government did not listen to us. But whatever we do, we will do it within the ambit of the Constitution. We do not want to do anything that disturbs the peace in our family, region, state or country.

'The work of Waqf should be in the hands of Muslims'

The youth further said, "We also have the option of the supreme Court. We will take the help of law to oppose the bill. The work of taking care of Waqf property should remain in the hands of Muslims only. We find this a flaw."
