

Bank employee stole 8.5 lakh rupees from donation box!
A bank employee was arrested for allegedly stealing about 10 lakh rupees from the donation boxes of Banke Bihari temple in mathura, Uttar Pradesh. A police officer gave this information on Sunday. According to the police, while counting the money received in the donation boxes of Banke Bihari temple in Vrindavan on Saturday, a bank employee hid several bundles of five hundred and two hundred rupees in his pants, which was seen by the temple security personnel monitoring CCTV in the control room.
The police said that on the complaint of the security personnel, when the accused was searched in front of the police, a total of one lakh 28 thousand 600 rupees was recovered from his clothes. According to the police, during interrogation of the accused, it was found that earlier also he had stolen about eight and a half lakhs in two days and taken it to his house.
Sadar area's police Circle Officer (CO) sandeep Kumar said that on Saturday, the donations received in 16 donation boxes were being counted in Bankebihari temple. He said that some bank employees were also involved in this monthly count on the request of the temple management. The officer said that among these bank employees, an officer from Mathura's Canara bank branch, Abhinav Saxena, was also involved. The accused is a native of Rampur and currently lives in Mathura's Ashoka City. Kumar said that the temple security personnel monitoring the CCTV in the control room saw that he (Abhinav Saxena) was counting the money and also hiding bundles of notes in his clothes.
The accused has been suspended with immediate effect.
He said that on getting the information, the temple management immediately called the police and searched him in front of everyone, and Rs 1,28,600 was recovered from him.
The officer said that when he was interrogated strictly, the accused confessed that he had stolen Rs 8,55,300 in the last two days, which was recovered from his residence in Ashoka City. He said that on the basis of the complaint of the temple manager Munish Kumar Sharma, the police registered a case of theft and breach of trust and the accused bank employee was produced before the magistrate and sent to jail. Manager of Vrindavan branch of Canara bank Mohit Kumar said that Abhinav was posted in the Vrindavan branch from 2020 to 2024 but after that he was transferred to mathura in the loan department. He said that at present the accused has been suspended with immediate effect.
