

CM gave strict instructions to district Magistrates…
Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami organized an important virtual meeting on monday to provide better services to the people of the state, in which direct communication was done with all the district Magistrates of the state. In this virtual meeting held from the Chief Minister's residence, the chief minister gave clear and strict guidelines to the district Magistrates on various important subjects including improving the quality of public services, road repair, drinking water supply, forest fire control.
The chief minister said that the primary objective of the state government is to deliver good governance to the general public and for this the responsibility of the district administration is most important. He directed all the district Magistrates to make special efforts to improve public service delivery in their districts.
In the meeting, the chief minister expressed concern over the poor condition of the roads and said that the roads should be made pothole-free in all the districts within 15 days. He clearly said that no district should be negligent in this direction. Also, the district Magistrates were instructed to regularly inspect the roads on the ground and personally monitor the improvement works.
In view of the summer season, the chief minister directed to ensure smooth drinking water supply in all the districts. He said that if required, pre-arrangements of drinking water tankers should be made so that water crisis does not arise in any area. Also, all necessary arrangements should be ensured in time to maintain smooth power supply. Incidents of forest fire increase with summer in the state. In view of this, the chief minister asked the district Magistrates to be especially vigilant regarding forest fire control. He directed that prompt action should be ensured on incidents of forest fire and the response time should be minimized. For this, the teams of the concerned departments should be kept fully active.
In the meeting, the chief minister reviewed the preparations for the upcoming Chardham yatra and said that the convenience of the devotees should be given top priority. The control rooms in the districts connected with the yatra route should be fully active, and a well-organized traffic plan should be prepared for traffic management during the Yatra. He said that basic facilities like toilets, drinking water, medical facilities etc should be ensured so that the devotees do not face any inconvenience.
