In the year 2023 also, when ED raided his Tiwari Hata, the activities had increased. The noose is continuously tightening on Vinay shankar Tiwari in the case of bank defaulter.
ED investigation revealed that M/s Gangotri Enterprises Limited, along with its promoters, directors, guarantors, had availed credit facilities of Rs 1129.44 crore from a consortium of seven banks led by bank of India. He later diverted this amount to other companies and did not return the money to the banks. Due to this, the consortium of banks suffered a loss of about Rs 754.24 crore.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had seized properties worth Rs 72.08 crore of former mla Vinay shankar Tiwari in november 2023. The ED had taken this action in the case of Vinay Tiwari's company Gangotri Enterprises Limited usurping about Rs 1129.44 crore of the consortium of banks.
On the complaint of the banks, the cbi headquarters had registered a case, after which the ED also started investigation by registering a case under the Money Laundering Act against all the directors, promoters and guarantors of the company including Vinay Tiwari.
In 2023, the zonal office of ED located in the capital had seized a total of 27 properties of Vinay shankar Tiwari located in Gorakhpur, Maharajganj and Lucknow. This includes agricultural land, commercial complexes, residential complexes, residential plots etc.
