Kharge again lashes out at election commission over EVMs…
On the second day of the congress session in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, congress President mallikarjun Kharge addressed the program. During this, he targeted the Modi government on many issues. He said that America imposed 26 percent tariff against us but it was not allowed to be debated in Parliament.
Targeting the Modi government, Kharge said, 'Monopoly is being established in the country's economy. Public assets are gradually being handed over to private hands. By selling PSUs, lakhs of permanent government jobs and reservations of SC, ST, OBC and EWS have been affected. Be it airport, port, mining or power, media houses or telecommunications, even satellite technology from America is being provided to its industrialist friends without auction, which is also a threat to our national security.'
'Government committed fraud in maharashtra elections'
The congress President said, 'Today, efforts are being made to make the election commission and the parliament an extension of the government. Scams are taking place in elections. With the advancement of electronic technology, developed countries of the world have abandoned EVMs and moved towards ballot papers, but our election commission is not ready to take cognizance of this problem. We saw in the maharashtra elections how fake voter lists are being made.'
Regarding the maharashtra Assembly elections, Kharge said that the fraud that was committed in the elections there has never happened in the country. This was done only to harass and destroy democracy, but we are not going to back down. We are working on the irregularities that have happened in the voter list. The thief who steals is caught one day or the other.
'Today 15 lakh wealthy indians have settled abroad'
The congress President said that the youth who went abroad to work to escape unemployment are brought back in chains, but the people who looted government banks and fled abroad are living comfortably there.
