Now you can drive fast from Digha to Didarganj!

The JP ganga Path project built on the banks of the ganga river in patna is now going to be extended to Didarganj. Right now this path is ready from Digha to Kangan Ghat, but now you can drive fast till Didarganj. chief minister Nitish Kumar will inaugurate it tomorrow i.e. thursday (April 10). This project, built at a cost of Rs 3831 crore, has been constructed by the bihar State Path Nirman Nigam. The length of this very important road connecting two important ends of patna city is 20.5 kilometers. It will now take very little time to cover the distance from Digha to Didarganj, the two opposite ends of Patna.

It was named after JP

The foundation of this project was laid on 11 october 2013, the birth anniversary of Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan. On the same day it was named JP ganga Path. In the first phase, 7.5 km road from Digha to gandhi Maidan was dedicated to the public on 24 june 2022. In the second phase, 5.0 km from PMCH to Gai Ghat was inaugurated on 14 august 2023, in the third phase, 3.0 km from Gai Ghat to Kangan Ghat was inaugurated on 10 July 2024 and in the fourth phase, krishna Ghat link path was inaugurated on 3 october 2024. This road connects to JP Setu and mahatma gandhi Setu, making travel between North and South bihar even easier. After completion till Didarganj, this road will also be connected to the Kachidargah-Bidupur six-lane bridge.

Expansion will be done from Bihta to Mokama

On the other hand, approval has also been given for the expansion of the project. Work will also start soon on the plan to widen the old NH up to Koilwar bridge in the west and from Didarganj to Mokama via Fatuha, Bakhtiyarpur in the east. Not only this, a comprehensive park will also be developed on the banks of ganga between Digha and gandhi Maidan.

ganga Path will also be connected to patna Ring Road

Currently, this path is connecting to a total of five bridges on the ganga river, out of which three bridges are under construction. It passes through patna Ring Road. When extended to Koilwar, it will also connect to NH-922, NH-319 and Purvanchal Expressway.
