13 people died due to lightning in 4 districts of bihar on Wednesday. chief minister Nitish Kumar has expressed deep condolences on this. The chief minister has given instructions to immediately give an ex-gratia grant of four lakh rupees to the dependents of the deceased.

Actually, on Tuesday, 05 people died in Begusarai, 04 in Darbhanga, 03 in Madhubani and 01 in Samastipur due to lightning. chief minister Nitish Kumar is deeply saddened by this incident and has expressed his deep condolences to the affected families. The cm said that he is with the affected families in this hour of disaster.

The chief minister has given instructions to immediately give an ex-gratia grant of four lakh rupees to the families of all the deceased. He has also appealed to the people to be very cautious in bad weather. In case of bad weather, follow the suggestions issued from time to time by the Disaster Management Department to avoid lightning. Stay indoors and stay safe during bad weather.

Most deaths in Begusarai

Let us tell you that strong storm, rain and hailstorm have wreaked havoc in different areas of Samastipur, Madhubani, Begusarai and Darbhanga districts of North Bihar. At least 13 people died in different incidents of lightning in four districts on Wednesday. Most of these deaths occurred in Begusarai district, where five people died. An elderly man died due to lightning in Darbhanga, while three people including a father-daughter died in Madhubani district. 1 person has died in Samastipur.

There are many reasons for more deaths due to lightning in bihar, including climate change, changes in humidity and rain pattern during monsoon and people staying in the open during farming in rural areas. Most of the lightning incidents happen during the afternoon when people are working in the fields. Many times people do not get warning before lightning strikes, due to which they are unable to go to safe places.
