'Crores of property of Kashmiri Pandits illegally occupied'…
Amid the uproar over the Waqf law, a Hindu organization in the kashmir Valley has demanded that a board be built on the same amount of land for pictures in kashmir, which can preserve more than 800 coins. According to the organization, in the last 35 years, property worth about 25 thousand crores belonging to Madhesya Pandits has been illegally occupied. According to Sanjay Tikku, President of Kashmiri Pandit Sangh Samiti, the PDP-Congress government had brought the temple Protection Bill in 2003, but the bjp opposed it then and the bill could not be converted into law.
Sanjay Tikku alleged, "The biggest enemy of Kashmiri Pandits is the bjp and this is happening because the Sangh is taking revenge for jawahar Lal Nehru from the Kashmiri Pandit community and hence the pilgrimage and heritage related to the Pandit community in kashmir have not been preserved." Tikku demanded that if the government does not want to make a separate law to protect the glory of Pandits in kashmir, then a Sanatan Board should be formed across the country from kashmir to Kanyakumari temple.
The organization says that with the full implementation of the indian Constitution in kashmir - SRINAGAR/JAMMU' target='_blank' title='jammu and kashmir-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>jammu and kashmir, there is no legal obstacle in making a dedicated and implementable law. For this, now the central government and the Lieutenant governor administration have not only the capacity to act but also the unquestionable duty.
With the real monitoring and transparency of the "Sanatan Board", an organization advocating Waqf across the country, all the existing religious trusts, committees, institutions and organizations claiming management over these religious properties should be brought under the jurisdiction of the proposed Act, the Kashmiri Peedik Sangharsh Samiti has raised the demand and is also proposing to work together with the Waqf Board for Hindu-Muslim unity. Sanjay Tikku said, "No one would have thought that the Sanatan Board and Waqf Board together can bring about a change in the country's economy. The country should not become an economy of five trillion but of seven trillion, this much money will come from temples and mosques".
The PDP leader is calling this demand of the committee wrong. According to PIP leader and former minister of Relief and Rehabilitation Department for Monasteries, Sayed Bashar Bukhari, it is still not clear whether the Waqf Act is for the development of Muslims. Bukhari said, "Who told them that Muslims will benefit from the Waqf Act. Right now questions are being raised on the system of the government, it is not known whether Muslims will benefit from the Waqf Act or the government will take over it."
