Is barack obama going to get divorced after 32 years?
Reports of divorce between former US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama were becoming increasingly viral on social media recently, but now Michelle obama has openly responded to these rumors. Michelle has called all these things completely wrong and baseless. During a conversation with actress Sophia Bush's podcast 'Work in Progress', Michelle clearly said that she is now taking decisions of her life herself and prioritizing her mental and physical well-being.
The rumors of divorce had increased even more when Michelle obama was not seen with barack obama in many big public events like the swearing-in ceremony of former President donald trump and jimmy Carter's funeral. On the basis of these things, people started speculating. But Michelle's recent statement has put an end to these speculations.
Michelle obama said this
Reacting to these rumours, Michelle obama said, "People could not understand that I am a sensible and self-reliant woman, who can take her own decisions. They thought that if I am doing something different, then there is definitely some problem in our relationship." She further said, "I did what was right for me, not what people or society expected from me."
Michelle also explained why she did not take such a step earlier. She said that earlier she used to give more importance to the thoughts of others, responsibilities and expectations of society, but now she is giving priority to her well-being and happiness.
'Got the freedom to live for myself'
Michelle obama said, "Earlier I did not take decisions for myself because I used to make the excuse of responsibility of my daughters, but now that my daughters have grown up, I have got the freedom to decide the priorities of my life."
Although Michelle did not appear in some big programs, she is still fully active. She is working on her favorite issues like girls' education, giving speeches and participating in many projects. Last summer, Michelle gave a powerful speech at the Democratic National Convention. In this speech, she supported Kamala harris and appealed to the people to unite. Michelle said, "Hope is awakening again."
