Delhi government's new agenda on Ambedkar's thoughts!

On the 134th birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the delhi government organized a walkathon in the capital. chief minister Rekha Gupta flagged off the walkathon from the delhi Assembly. A large number of school students, youth and social organizations participated in the program. The chief minister announced on this occasion that special 'assembly sessions' will be organized in all government schools of delhi on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti. Through these sessions, students will be connected to baba Saheb's thoughts, struggles and his contribution in the making of the Constitution.

'Baba Saheb does not belong to any one caste or class'

The cm said, "This walkathon is not just an event, but an effort to spread baba Saheb's thoughts—justice, equality and rights—to the masses." He clarified that baba Saheb was not a great hero of any one caste or class, but of the entire nation. The cm said, "We do not have to just remember him, but we have to put them into practice in our actions".

'The Constitution given by baba Saheb to the country is an example of democracy'

Rekha Gupta also said that the delhi government is committed to implementing Ambedkar's ideas in the field of education, health and social equality. cabinet ministers ashish Sood and ravindra Indraj Singh were also present at the event. The cm said that the Constitution given by baba Saheb to the country is an example of inclusiveness and democracy. He said, "If today 140 crore indians are able to live with equal rights under the same constitution, then it is the result of baba Saheb's vision,"

Taking the name of prime minister Narendra Modi, the chief minister said that the central government gave baba Saheb the respect he deserved. Celebrating his birth anniversary at the national level and declaring it a public holiday is not just a symbolic step but a sign of change in the thinking of the country. cm Rekha Gupta announced that the delhi government will celebrate Ambedkar Jayanti not just as a one-day program but as a fortnight-long campaign.
