Tanker strike ends in mumbai, Aditya thackeray attacks BJP?
The strike of mumbai Tanker Association, which was going on for the last five days, finally ended on monday (April 14). This decision was taken after discussions with BMC and mumbai Tanker Association. But now UBT leader Aditya thackeray has raised some questions on this. Many construction sites, offices, malls and other places in mumbai were affected by the strike and many works stopped. mumbai Municipal Corporation Commissioner bhushan Gagrani had called an urgent meeting of the delegation of tanker drivers. The issue of the fierce strike of tanker drivers and the Disaster Management Act implemented by the mumbai Municipal Corporation was finally resolved in a meeting and the Tanker Association withdrew the strike.
Water supply affected in many areas
The strike had affected water supply in many areas of Mumbai. After the intervention of the government, the strike of tanker drivers was finally called off. Aditya thackeray said, "Despite the statement of the tanker drivers, the government deliberately ignored the strike. Mumbaikars had to face problems due to the sleeping role of the government. Should the government answer for the silence of Mumbaikars during celebrations like Mahavir Jayanti, Hanuman Jayanti and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti in summer or not?'' He said, ''Why did the government officials not realize the seriousness of the strike of tanker drivers? Which can lead to water shortage in the country's financial capital Mumbai? This is also a part of the research.''
shiv sena (UBT) had warned
In view of the strike, shiv sena (UBT) had warned of agitation. The strike of tanker drivers ended when the government realized that Shiv Sena's stance could prove costly.
Regarding the strike, the BMC Commissioner said, ''I thank the chief minister of the state Devendra Fadnavis, both the Deputy Chief Ministers and Municipal Commissioner bhushan Gagrani. We are withdrawing the strike as per the discussion held in the meeting between the Water Tanker Association and the Commissioner. bhushan Gagrani has assured us that no action will be taken against you. He listened to the tanker association.''
He said, ''All the notices issued to the tanker association are being withdrawn. Commissioner bhushan Gajrani assured that no action will be taken. Apart from this, we will also meet the mumbai Police Commissioner soon. The entire maharashtra government will stand behind the tanker association. That is why we have come through you to request the association to withdraw the strike. Murji patel has also requested that water be provided to those who are deprived of water.''
