A statement by maharashtra deputy chief minister and shiv sena President Eknath Shinde is making headlines. In a program organized in Amravati on wednesday (April 16), he claimed in a witty manner that when the 'Vikas Ka Viman' was flying in the previous Mahayuti government, he himself was its pilot and devendra fadnavis and ajit pawar were co-pilots. He made this statement during the inauguration ceremony of a newly built airport and commercial flight service in Amravati city. On this occasion, chief minister fadnavis and deputy chief minister Pawar were also present on the stage.

Shinde said that the foundation of the Amravati airport was laid between 2014 and 2019, when devendra fadnavis was the Chief Minister. But when the maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government led by uddhav thackeray came to power in 2019, the project was stalled. He claimed that when the "Janata ki Sarkar" i.e. Mahayuti came to power again in 2022, the stalled work got momentum again and the construction of the airport was completed rapidly.

In a veiled attack on the MVA government, Shinde said that many development schemes and welfare projects were either stopped or slowed down during their rule. He stressed, "When the pace of development started again, I was the pilot of the plane and fadnavis and Pawar were co-pilots. Now the pilot is fadnavis and both of us are playing the role of co-pilots. Although the pilot has changed, the plane is the same and the direction of flight is also the same." It is worth noting that the current Mahayuti government of maharashtra includes Bharatiya Janata Party, Eknath Shinde-led shiv sena and Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist congress Party.
