You can withdraw money from ATM in this train!

Central Railways has installed an ATM machine on trial basis in Panchvati Express going from Manmad in maharashtra to Chhatrapati shivaji Maharaj Terminus. This ATM has been installed in an AC chair car coach, where earlier there used to be a pantry. This unique step has been taken keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers. Central Railways has said that at present this onboard ATM has been used as a trial, but if successful, this facility can be started in other trains as well.

Railway minister shared the video

Sharing the video of ATM in Panchvati Express, Union Railway minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that for the first time ATM facility is available in the train.

Why was this service started?

Actually, this facility of onboard ATM is planned to be given by the Railways under NFR i.e. Non Fare Revenue initiative. So that apart from the revenue coming from the railway ticket, the railways can increase its revenue by giving other facilities to the passengers. On march 25, Central Railway had a meeting with all the potential vendors, in which Central Railway had proposed an onboard ATM, after which on april 2, bank of maharashtra had put forward a proposal in this direction under NINFRIS policy.
