students preparing for the Joint Preliminary Examination to be conducted by the maharashtra Public service Commission have demanded an increase in the seats. These students also met ncp (SP) President Sharad Pawar. Pawar has justified the demand of the candidates preparing for government jobs. sharad pawar demanded to increase the number of vacancies

ncp (SP) chief sharad pawar wrote on X, "This examination is being conducted after two years. Therefore, if the benefit of the age increase decision taken by the commission is to be given to these students, then the advertisement of 480 seats (PSI 216, STI 209, ASO 55, SR 0) is very less. In such a situation, the demand of the students to increase the seats is justified.''

I will write a letter to cm devendra fadnavis - Sharad Pawar

He further said, ''Since a large number of seats are vacant, the government and the commission should not have any problem in increasing the seats. In this regard, I will personally write a letter to chief minister devendra fadnavis and will also contact him over the phone. It is also a strong demand of the students that they should be given enough time to prepare for the State service Main Examination 2024.
