Interim order on Waqf Act, salman Khurshid-'Now govt right...'!
After the hearing in the supreme court on thursday (April 17) against the Waqf Act, political reactions are coming out continuously. Meanwhile, senior congress leader salman Khurshid also gave his reaction. He said that in this case, the same thing has happened as happened in the farmers' laws.
SC felt that some provisions should be banned - Khurshid
The congress leader said that in this case the supreme court felt that some provisions should be banned, not the entire law. The court has indicated that they can ban those provisions. Khurshid said, "The Solicitor General said that he believes that till the final hearing, we will not do the nomination process of members in the board and appointment of members in the council." This is only a temporary stand of the court- congress leader
The congress leader further said, "Apart from this, a very interesting issue is also of 'user as waqf'. The court also said that till we hear this whole matter, there should be no interference in the existing 'user waqf'... This is only a temporary stand of the court. Now the government has the right to come again and explain the whole thing in more detail."
We will look at the government's reply- Khurshid
salman Khurshid said, "We will look at the government's reply from our point of view as to why the government is wrong and why it is violating the rights of a particular community. Only then will the court take a final decision."
Next hearing will be on May 5
Let us tell you that after the hearing, the supreme court gave an interim order saying that no new appointment should be made in the Waqf Board. The supreme court has given seven days to the government to respond. The supreme court has fixed May 5 as the date for the next hearing in this matter.
