A huge public meeting was organized on sunday at Lahra Chowk ground in Kishanganj under the leadership of "Waqf Protection Movement" in protest against the Waqf Amendment Act 2025. All the major Milli organizations of the region and major political parties of the opposition jointly participated in this meeting. JDU minister ashok Choudhary has given his reaction on this public meeting, he said that the minorities will have to decide with whom they want to live. He also targeted RJD in his statement.

ashok Chaudhary said on anti-Muslims

JDU leader ashok Chaudhary said, "Minority will have to decide with whom to stay. With the previous government, which brought the concept of Charwaha Vidyalaya and Lathi Ghumavan Tel Pilavan. Or with our leader who talks about IIT, BIT and Polytechnic. He said that Waqf is not anti-Muslim.

The opposition is trying to pit them (Muslims) against us, but I would like to tell the people there to decide who worked. Has the Muslim cm of bihar done as much work as nitish kumar did? The public will have to see whether you want to go to 21st century bihar or backwards.

'These laws are not anti-Muslim - JDU

Actually, religious Muslim organizations of bihar and many leaders of JDU itself are angry with cm Nitish, because he has supported the central government on the Waqf law. JDU is trying to explain that these laws are not anti-Muslim But Muslims are adamant on the demand to withdraw this law. Thousands of common people participated in the public meeting in Kishanganj on sunday and registered their strong protest against the amendment in the Waqf Act.
