The root of the real disease is the collegium system. If the disease is to be eradicated completely, then the said system will have to be removed and a hue and cry will have to be raised for the system of "recruitment of judges through open competition". What did Nishikant Dubey say?

According to IANS, bjp mp Nishikant Dubey on saturday made a controversial statement regarding the ongoing hearing in the supreme court on the Waqf (Amendment) Act. He has clearly attacked the judiciary by questioning its interference in the law passed by the Parliament. Referring to the role of the judiciary, Nishikant Dubey said, if the court does the work of making laws, then the existence of parliament becomes meaningless.

Along with this, bjp mp Nishikant Dubey wrote in a post on the social media platform X, if the supreme court will make the law, then the parliament should be closed. His post is being seen as an indirect criticism of the role of the judiciary in examining various aspects of the law and more or less suspending it. Distancing the statement of bjp mp Nishikant Dubey, the bjp termed it as his personal opinion and has issued instructions to avoid such comments.
