SP leader Abu Azmi, who is surrounded by controversies for his statement on Aurangzeb, has given a statement on the action taken on the temple of Jain community in Vile Parle, Mumbai. Expressing strong opposition to this entire incident, he said that the mumbai Municipal Corporation has taken this action without sensitivity, which is not only wrong but also an attack on religious tolerance.

Azmi said that the Jain community comes in the minority and demolishing their religious place like this is absolutely unjust. He said, "I have said earlier also that this is happening every day in this country especially with Muslims, now the Jain community is also in its grip. The matter is pending in the court, in such a situation such haste can spoil the law and order."

Officials leave the action after taking money - Azmi

The leader alleged that the functioning of the officials is under question. “First they come, threaten to demolish, then take money and leave,” he said. Azmi demanded that a separate special body be formed to investigate the legality of religious places, so that the community can be taken into confidence before any action is taken. Recalling the manohar joshi government of 1995, he said that at that time it was decided that the concerned officer would be responsible for illegal work, but how many have been taken action against till now? He clearly said that corruption should be curbed and every action taken on religious places should be done legally, with transparency and with the participation of the community.
