A holiday, an adventure and then a ruined peace. Respect and privacy The life of a delhi woman changed when her river rafting video in rishikesh was made viral on the Internet without her permission. Now the delhi High court, while giving its verdict in this case, has ordered Google, facebook and X (formerly Twitter) to immediately remove all links related to that video.

The woman alleges that during her visit to rishikesh in march 2025, she did river rafting through a travel agency. While rafting, the trainer there offered her that he would record her entire ride on camera, which she could keep as her memories. But this same video, in which the woman can be seen in a panicked and helpless state, was later shared on the Internet and that too without her permission. After this the matter reached the delhi High Court.

Joke on the internet

As soon as this video went viral, the woman had to face trolling, cyber bullying, abuses and threats. The video was shared with jokes, memes and derogatory comments. The petition states that this incident has deeply damaged her mental peace, security and self-esteem.
