Guinness World Record: 7500 people made the Tricolor!!!
Under the Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi and Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan, students in chandigarh on saturday performed such a feat which was recorded in the Guinness World Record. In the cricket stadium of Sector-16 of the city, 7500 students made a waving human tricolour. After this, the officials of the Guinness Book of World Records announced the world record in the name of chandigarh at the stadium.
GWR officer Swapril Dangarikar said the title of the record is 'Largest Human Image of a National Flag Waving'. Earlier in 2017, such a record was made in UAE. In dubai, 4130 people had made such a record. On 28 november 2017, a similar human flag was made by the people in Abu Dhabi, dubai on behalf of GEMS education (UAE).
Union minister meenakshi lekhi also attended
During this, Union minister meenakshi lekhi and punjab Governor Banwari Lal Purohit were also present. meenakshi lekhi said that I would like to congratulate chandigarh University and NID Foundation. Preparations for this event were going on for one and a half months.
It was told by the chandigarh Administration that 7500 students from different schools gathered at the cricket Stadium in Sector 16. In this, 2500 children were seen wearing saffron-coloured clothes. 2500 were seen dressed in white and 2500 in green. All of them gathered in the stadium waving the national flag as 'Tiranga'. ashok Chakra was created in the midst of these. In this way, all these students together made the tricolour. By doing this, the name of chandigarh was registered in the Guinness Book of World Records.
