The premiere episode of Kapil Sharma's new show, "The Great indian Kapil Show," debuted on Netflix on march 30, with ranbir kapoor appearing as the first guest alongside his mother Neetu Kapoor and sister Riddhima Kapoor. Among the various stories shared during the show, one about Ranbir's shoes has garnered significant attention.

Host kapil sharma queried ranbir kapoor about rumours circulating during his marriage suggesting that he had given crores of rupees to his sisters-in-law. ranbir kapoor shared an amusing anecdote in response to this question, particularly emphasizing an incident involving his shoes. During the show, sunil grover returned as 'Gutthi' after a hiatus, reminiscing about their past encounters.

Gutthi playfully expressed her discontent with Ranbir, referencing their scripted marriage in previous seasons of Kapil's show and highlighting Ranbir's real-life marriage to alia Bhatt. Addressing the rumour about stolen shoes worth crores, ranbir kapoor clarified that it was not millions but rather that Alia's friends and sisters had requested a few lakhs. He humorously recounted negotiating the amount down to a few thousand rupees, which he gave as part of the tradition.

Ranbir amusingly remarked that since their wedding took place at home, even if the shoes were stolen, it wouldn't have been a big issue. ranbir kapoor and alia bhatt tied the knot on april 14, 2022, after growing close during the filming of "Brahmastra: Part 1-Shiva" in 2018 and dating for about four years.
