Those who have received the full doses of Saudi-approved vaccines can perform Umrah directly upon arrival in Makkah. Three days quarantine for those who have received other vaccines.

Riyadh: The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has issued a quarantine to Umrah pilgrims arriving in saudi arabia who have received Saudi-approved vaccines, including the Covishield.

The permission is for pilgrims arriving on Umrah visas attending pilgrimage from overseas who have fully received the Saudi licensed vaccine shots. Once they reach Meccah, they can perform Umrah directly.

Institutional quarantine applies for three days after arrival in the country to those who have received vaccines such as Covaxin, which is not approved by saudi arabia and is approved by the World health Organization.

They must undergo a PCR examination 48 hours after arrival in Saudi Arabia.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said that with the result of a negative PCR test, they can go to the Holy Haram and perform Umrah.

Saudi Arabia has approved four vaccines: Pfizer, AstraZeneca (Covishield), Modena, and Johnson.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said that maintaining the health and safety of the pilgrims is a fundamental goal of Saudi Arabia.
