After an illegal mosque was sealed in Tiruppur, tamil Nadu, a Muslim mob blocked the road and blocked the entire city. It can be seen in the video how men and women are offering Namaz by laying a sheet on the highway itself. During this there was a traffic jam for hours. The revenue department tried to seal an illegally built mosque at 15 Velampalayam's Mahalakshmi Nagar, following which such actions were taken.

On thursday (June 30, 2022), the Muslim mob that came out protested across the district in such a way that the traffic came to a standstill. This mosque was being operated for the last one decade, that too without permission. An official of the corporation informed that this mosque, located in 1600 square feet, had obtained permission in 2011 on this land to run Ganji's company. After this a group of Muslims bought it and converted it into a mosque.

The Resident Welfare Association had filed a petition in the madras high court in this matter. In that it was described as an illegal building. In 2016, the high court ordered the Revenue Department to seal it. However, the association failed to do so. Then the association filed a complaint calling it contempt of court. After that, the high court fixed a time period till june 30, 2022 to seal it.

On thursday morning, when revenue department officials, corporation officials and police teams reached the spot and began sealing operations, a Muslim mob of 300 blocked the road in front of Tiruppur Corporation's office. After several hours of jam, the municipality had to cancel the council meeting. Roads were blocked across the district. A large number of police forces had to be deployed. The police Commissioner and the SP himself had to talk to the protesters.

The protesters also filed a petition in the madras high court, after which a direction has come to resolve the matter by July 4. Traffic was restored after 4 pm. The members of the 'Hindu Munnani' organization also launched a 'Road Roko' campaign against the police who raised their hands in front of the Muslim protesters. The local mla of the ruling DMK has written a letter to chief minister Stalin, supporting the Muslims.
