The world's largest Krishna temple grand event!!!

This temple, being built at the ISKCON headquarters in Mayapur, Nadia, West Bengal, was being constructed since 2009. Spread over 700 acres (28 lakh square meters), this temple courtyard will be bigger than all the temples in the world so far.

Till now the title of the largest temple is near Angkor Wat in Cambodia, which is spread over 1.6 million square meters. The inauguration of the temple being built in Mayapur was proposed on holi of 2023, but due to the delay in construction due to Corona, now it will be completely ready by 2024. The foundation of this temple is made of 100 feet and it is as high as a ten-storey building. Today on Janmashtami special events will be held here.

Ten thousand people will have the ability to see together

Ten thousand devotees of Lord krishna will be able to see him together in the temple. This time on 19th august i.e. today Janmashtami, the festival hads organized here. A tableau will be taken out in the campus. More than one lakh devotees will attend it.


Prabhupada, the founder of ISKCON, had bought three acres of land in Mayapur for the temple in 1971 itself and it was also worshiped in 1972, but the construction started from the year 2009. The initial budget for the construction of the temple was 600 crore rupees, with the passage of time it reached one thousand crore rupees.

This will be the world's largest Vedic temple

It will also be the largest Vedic temple in the world, three huge peaks have been built here. The main peak is of Radha-Krishna and the eastern peak is of narasimha Dev. There will be 14 lifts in the 350 feet high temple and the special thing is that there will also be a planetarium and all the people will visit the virtual planetarium in the planetarium being built in sri sri Mayapur Chandrodaya Mandir.
