Prepare flour or maida like this

Mix arrowroot in flour or maida and mix your favourite colour in it. Now knead this dough with water mixed with vinegar. This will neither spoil the dough nor will ants come. Add turmeric or food colour to this flour. With this, you will be able to make colourful Ganpati.

Prepare the soil like this

If you want to make Ganpati from clay, then sieve the soil twice with a fine sieve and mix some sand in it. Mix three spoons of sand in a bowl of soil. Knead it well. Mixing sand will keep the soil-bound. If you want, you can also use it as children's play clay.

How to make Ganpati?

1-Take one of the four pieces of dough or clay, flatten it and make the base of your idol. Use a scale to smooth out the edges.

2- Make a circular torso in the idol and use a toothpick to connect the body and base of the idol. If there is no toothpick, then use 2-3 drops of water to stick both.

3- Make four long rolls to make the legs, arms and trunk of the idol. Take two rolls, flatten the ends of the rolls outwards and stick them on the torso of the idol. Take a roll, wrap it around the idol just above the feet and flatten one arm upwards so that it looks like a blessing.

4-Make a palm for the idol. Make fingers and thumb on it carefully. Take another piece of clay and roll it into a ball shape and place it over the body. Here is the head of the idol.

5-Depending on your preference, make the trunk. You can also give a pointed look to the tip of the trunk.

6-Make small-sized balls for ears, eyes and laddoos. Use 3-4 drops of water for all of them and stick. Glue the ears and flatten them. Cover the eyes and keep laddoos on hand.

7-Give the final touch and place the idol of Ganpati in a leafy bowl or any other thing.
