Tirumala: Barbers protest in Tirupati!!

More than 300 employees engaged in the work of shaving devotees visiting the famous venkatesh Balaji temple in tirumala, Andhra Pradesh, boycotted the work on Thursday. He alleges that the vigilance staff of tirumala temple management is harassing him.

In fact, the Vigilance Department of tirumala tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) had investigated these shaving workers alleging that they extort money from the devotees visiting the temple. The department has been conducting raids in all the Kalyankattas of tirumala for the past few days after receiving complaints from some devotees.


It was said in the complaint that some shaving workers violate the ban and demand money from the devotees. More than 300 barbers working in main Kalyankatta and 10 mini Kalyankatta boycotted the shaving work in protest against the vigilance action.

On Thursday, as the dispute escalated after the boycott of Mundan, the police reached the spot and pacified the people of the Vigilance Department and the hair clippers. However, the Barbers have said that they will continue to boycott the haircut if action against them continues.
