Varanasi: Sri Vijayendra Saraswati Swami, the 70th Abbot of kanchi Kamakodi Peetha arrived in Kashi from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh and offered special prayers at Sri Vishwanath Temple.
Sri Vijayendra Saraswati Swami, the 70th abbot of kanchi Kamakodi Peetha arrived in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh last week as part of his Vijaya yatra and performed Viaja pooja at Triveni Sangamam on the 3rd. After the event of Samashti Bikshawandanam, Adi Sankara arrived at Vimana Mandapam.
Shri Vijayendra who arrived in Kashi on the 5th was given a special welcome by the devotees under the leadership of Kashi Mayor at Kasiraman vilasam. In the year 1974, the 69th abbot of Kanchikamakodi Peedam Sri Jayendra was also given a special welcome at the same place.

After the worship, Sri Vijayendra went to the branch of the kanchi Kamakodi Peetha in the Hanuman forest. Following this, from July 6th to september 29th, Shri Vijayendra stays in the Hanuman forest and offers blessings to the devotees by performing Chathurmasya fast pujas which are important in his Vijaya Yatra.
