Kashi Vishwanath temple's revenue has hit a new high due to generous donations by devotees.


Kashi Vishwanath temple donation surged to Rs 83.8 crore this financial year highest revenue in March

Kashi Vishwanath temple is located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Located on the west bank of the river Ganges, this temple of Lord shiva Viswanadha is one of the most important Hindu temples in India. Thousands of devotees visit here every day and have darshan of Uswami.


In this situation, the revenue of the kashi vishwanath temple has reached a new peak due to the generous donations by the devotees. Accordingly, kashi vishwanath temple has earned a revenue of Rs.83.34 crore in the financial year 2023-24. This is an increase of 42.43 percent compared to FY 2022-23 revenue. Especially, last march alone, the temple got a revenue of Rs.11.14 crores. This is an unprecedented monthly collection for the temple.


Talking about this, the Chief Executive Officer of the temple, Viswa Bhushan, said, “Sri Kashi Viswanath temple Trust (SKVTT) has recorded record collection and expenditure for the financial year 2023-24. In terms of income, its total revenue is Rs.83.34 crores. This is 42.43% higher than the total revenue of 2022-23. In terms of expenditure, Rs.25.32 crores have been spent. This is 40.38% higher than the previous financial year.


Not including the value of the precious metals donated, the temple earned a revenue of Rs 69.92 crore, beating the previous record by the end of february last year. It is worth noting that in 2022-23, the income of the temple was Rs 58.51 crore and in 2018-19 and 2019-20 it was more than Rs 26 crore.
