Around the world, people celebrate krishna Janmashtami with great enthusiasm. This holiday is observed differently in many indian states as well as other nations.

North India: Janmashtami is the largest festival celebrated in this region. people commemorate the Raas Leela ritual on this day. Another activity that happens in Jammu on krishna Janmashtami is kite flying.

Northeastern and Eastern India: Manipur's citizens perform the love-inspired dance drama Radha-Krishna Raslila during Janmashtami. parents dressed their children as gopis and krishna from the legends of krishna and read aloud from the Bhagavata Gita and the tenth chapter of the Bhagavata Purana.

Mythology states that because baby krishna stole butter and yoghurt, people were careful to keep their milk products out of Krishna's grasp.

South India: The region celebrates Gokula Ashtami with great fervorIn Tamil Nadu, floors are adorned with kolam, and devotional hymns honoring Krishna are sung.
