On Janmashtami day one should fast from morning till midnight. From the moment the fast begins, pray the name of Krishna. Continue to the temple and worship krishna and perform Abhishekam. Take a good bath with a honey pot, grapes. Then decorate them and offer sweets, fruits and Lord Krishna's favorite food items on the plate. First worship should be started by worshiping Lord Ganesha. Always draw Krishna's feet at home and bring him into the house.
After that one should meditate for some time to calm the mind. Light the lamp and pray the name of Krishna. Then each flower should be dedicated to krishna and worshiped.
