This year more than 11 thousand wish lamps have been lit in the temple located in Dantewada.

The head priest of the temple, krishna Kumar, says that people have a lot of faith in Maa Danteshwari, the revered goddess of Bastar, this is the reason why these days, along with local devotees, people from faraway lands reach the temple in large numbers to have darshan of the mother. It is said that faith has always prevailed over terror. This is the reason that despite being a Naxal-affected area, a large number of devotees reach Bastar to have darshan of Maa Danteshwari.
