TTD Laddu prasad issue is fully solved now..!?

The tirumala tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has announced that online bookings have been started for Vaikuntha Ekadeshi darshan at the Venkateswara temple in Tirumala. This important spiritual event is celebrated from january 10 to 19, 2025. Lakhs of devotees are expected to visit the holy hill temple. The tirumala tirupati Devasthanams were embroiled in a Laddu controversy a few months ago. There were allegations that ghee made from cow fat, pig fat, and fish oil was used in the prasad offered for 50 rupees at the tirumala sri venkateswara temple here. This caused a huge controversy at the time. In Andhra Pradesh, there was a complaint that the Laddu prasadam made with ghee purchased by the tirupati Devasthanam Trustees appointed during the Jaganmohan reddy regime was of substandard quality.
Following this, the maha Shanti Yagama was held for 3 consecutive days at the Ezhumalaiyan temple as the prasadam was made with ghee mixed with animal fat. Investment of Rs. 10,144 crore. In this situation, after the change of government in Andhra Pradesh, Shyamala Rao was appointed as the new administrative officer of the temple. He found out that the quality of the ghee used to make laddu prasadam was low. When the ghee was sent to the testing center in Anand, Gujarat, the test report received on July 17 revealed that the ghee contained fish oil, cow and pig fat. Therefore, it was reported that it was substandard ghee. Following this, the chandrababu naidu government canceled the procurement tender of the previous regime. In this situation, chief minister chandrababu naidu alleged that ghee mixed with animal fat was used to make tirupati prasads during the jagan regime. Therefore, the tirumala tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is taking several steps to restore the trust of the people.
In that regard, it has again approached karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) as a new ghee supplier to restore the original quality of the laddus served in Tirupati. ttd Executive Officer J. syamala Rao has said that there will be no compromise on the quality of the laddus and the ghee used to make them. From 2013 to 2018, 3,000 tonnes of KMF's Nandini ghee was used to make tirupati laddus. It also supplied 1,700 tonnes in 2019. Also, ttd plans to increase the order of Nandini ghee from 300 MT to 3,000 MT. It is said that at least 3.5 lakh laddus are distributed daily in the temple and over Rs 250 crore is spent annually on ghee for laddus. Nandini is a milk brand managed by karnataka Cooperative Milk Producers Federation Limited (KMF). It is a leading milk brand in South India. It has been in operation since 1955.
