The date of opening of the doors of the world famous Shri badrinath Dham will be decided on Basant Panchami i.e. sunday after Panchag calculation in narendra Nagar Rajdarbar. This year uttarakhand Char Dham yatra will start from Akshaya Tritiya on 30 April. Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath temple Committee media Incharge Dr. Harish Gaur said that to decide the date of opening of the doors of Shri badrinath Dham, a religious ceremony will start at narendra Nagar Rajdarbar from 10:30 am on sunday, 2 February.
He said that after proper worship and Panchag calculation, the date of opening of the doors of Shri badrinath Dham will be announced. On the same day, the date of Tel Kalash Gadu Ghada yatra will also be decided. Preparations have been started by Rajmahal narendra Nagar and Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath temple Committee to decide the date of opening of the doors of Shri badrinath Dham.
Representatives will hand over
Before this, on january 30, the temple committee will hand over the oil pot Gadu pitcher to the Dimri religious central panchayat at Shri Nrusinha temple Joshimath. After worship at Yogbadri Pandukeshwar and Shri Nrusinha temple Joshimath, the representatives of the panchayat will hand over the pitcher to the palace on february 2. Later, this pot is filled with sesame oil from the palace on the scheduled date and reaches Shri badrinath Dham on the day of opening of the gates.
Maharaja Manujyendra Shah, mp Mala Rajyalakshmi Shah, Princess Shirja Shah, Rajpurohit Krishna prasad Uniyal, BKTC Chief Executive Officer Vijay prasad Thapliyal, Executive engineer Anil Dhyani, Dharmadhikari radhakrishna Thapliyal, Assistant engineer Vipin Tiwari, Private Secretary Pramod Nautiyal, Vedpathi ravindra Bhatt along with Dimri religious central panchayat officials, saints and devotees will be present in the ceremony of fixing the date of opening of the gates.
