Preparations for the biggest Amrit Snan of Mahakumbh complete!

The divine and grand event of Mahaparva Mahakumbh is being organized on the Sangam coast in Prayagraj. Every day lakhs of devotees are coming to Prayagraj to take a holy bath in Triveni Sangam in Mahakumbh. So far more than 13 crore devotees have taken a bath in Sangam in Mahakumbh.

The administration is now busy preparing for the biggest Amrit Snan of Mahakumbh, Mauni Amavasya on 29 January. 10 crore devotees are expected to come on the festival of Mauni Amavasya. In view of the large number of devotees, Prayagraj Railway Division has also made special arrangements. On the day of Mauni Amavasya festival, Prayagraj Railway Division has made a special plan for the arrival and departure of passengers at all the stations of the city.

Railways imposed restrictions

About 10 crore people are expected to come to Prayagraj on the Amrit Snan of Mauni Amavasya. From january 25 itself, about 1 crore passengers have started coming to Mahakumbh every day. For the safety and smooth evacuation of such a large number of devotees, Prayagraj Railway Division has implemented a special plan and some restrictions for all the stations of the city. These restrictions will be applicable one day before and two days after the bathing festival of Mauni Amavasya.

On the day of the bathing festival of Mauni Amavasya, entry to Prayagraj Junction will be given only from the city side, platform number-1. Exit will be only from the Civil Lines side, platform number 6. Reserved passengers, who have already reserved tickets, will be given separate entry from Gate No. 5 of the city side.

While unreserved passengers will be given entry through direction-wise color coded shelters. For tickets, there will be arrangements for unreserved ticket counters, ATVMs and mobile ticketing in the shelters itself. To manage the additional pressure of the crowd, a holding area has been constructed in Khusro Bagh to accommodate one lakh people.
