35 crore devotees have taken a holy dip in maha Kumbh!
A wave of faith is rising at the holy confluence of Ganga, yamuna and invisible Saraswati in Prayagraj. Saints, Mahatmas, Kalpavasis and devotees from all over the country and abroad are taking a dip of faith in maha Kumbh. With Amrit Snan on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami, the number of devotees who have taken a dip in maha Kumbh so far has crossed 35 crores. By 8 am on monday, 62 lakh devotees had taken a dip in Sangam. It is estimated that by the end of maha Kumbh, this number can cross 50 crores. Every day in maha Kumbh, lakhs of people are taking a holy dip in Sangam. On Sunday, 2 February, 1.2 crore devotees took a dip, due to which the total number had reached close to 35 crores, which was crossed on monday morning. These included about 10 lakh Kalpavasis, sadhus-saints and devotees from all over the country and abroad.
Days with the highest number of baths in Kumbh
Mauni Amavasya (10 February) saw the highest number of devotees, 8 crore, taking a dip in the Sangam. 3.5 crore devotees took a holy dip on Makar Sankranti. 2 crore devotees reached Sangam on 30 january and 1 February. 1.7 crore devotees took a holy dip on Paush Purnima.
The presence of big leaders and celebrities was also seen in the maha Kumbh, in this historic bath, many big personalities from politics, sports and film world also took a dip of faith in the Sangam. home minister amit shah, Defense minister Rajnath Singh and UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath took a dip along with cabinet ministers. governor Anandiben Patel, rajasthan chief minister Bhajan Lal, Union Ministers gajendra singh shekhawat and arjun ram meghwal also reached the Kumbh. Samajwadi party chief Akhilesh Yadav, assam Assembly Speaker Vishwajit Daimary and bjp mp Sudhanshu Trivedi were also present.
Celebrities from bollywood and sports world were also present in the maha Kumbh, who took a dip in the Sangam. Actresses hema Malini, Anupam Kher, bhagyashree and milind soman took the Kumbh bath. Poet Kumar Vishwas, cricketer suresh Raina, wrestler Khali and choreographer Remo D'Souza also arrived. Kinnar Akhara's Mahamandaleshwar mamta Kulkarni also took the holy bath. As the maha Kumbh is progressing, the tide of faith of the devotees is rising even higher. This event has not only become the center of spiritual power, but is also showcasing India's religious, cultural and historical heritage to the world. This amazing sight of maha Kumbh is once again proving its infinite spiritual importance.
