CM Dhami Reached The Harmony With Equality Program!
Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was given a grand welcome and honor in the "Harmony with Equality" program organized in Prayagraj on Sunday. On this occasion, the saint community congratulated chief minister Dhami by presenting a garland and shawl for the historic decision to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in Uttarakhand. The saints said that this decision is a historic step towards the social harmony and uniformity of India.
In his address, chief minister Dhami described the blessings of the saints as the honor of every citizen of uttarakhand and said that his government has fulfilled the resolution it had taken before the 2022 assembly elections. He said that the implementation of UCC is a big step towards realizing the "Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat" resolution of prime minister Narendra Modi. chief minister Dhami said, "It is a matter of great fortune for me to receive the blessings of revered saints on this auspicious occasion of the holy land of Triveni Sangam and maha Kumbh." He said that under the leadership of prime minister Narendra Modi, uttarakhand has become the first state to implement the Uniform Civil Code after the independence of the country. This decision will send a message of equality and harmony in the country and other states will also be inspired to adopt it.
Saints welcomed the decision
The saints also welcomed this decision and said that it is an important step towards establishing the eternal tradition of indian culture and a just society. acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashanand Giri Maharaj said, "There is no divine place like Uttarakhand. The government there has shown a new path to the whole country by implementing the Uniform Civil Code. The chief minister said that before the elections in 2022, his government had promised to implement the UCC, which was implemented on a priority basis after the elections. A high-level committee was formed for this, which prepared a report on this after consulting religious organizations, social groups and legal experts. The committee also interacted with the saint society to ensure that this decision is in line with indian values and traditions.
The chief minister also mentioned the makers of the Constitution on this occasion and said that there was already a provision for Uniform Civil Code in the Constitution, but no government had the political will to implement it. He said, "We took this bold decision, as it is also extremely important for our future generations. Referring to the Shraddha Walker murder case in delhi in 2022, chief minister Dhami said that "such incidents will be stopped after the implementation of UCC." He said that UCC will give equal rights to women and will curb evil practices like forced religious conversion and polygamy. Now no one will be able to do injustice to our daughters.
