SP's first reaction on the death of 18 people in the stampede…

A stampede broke out on platform number 13 and 14 of New delhi Railway Station late saturday night when a rumor of cancellation of two trains going to Prayagraj allegedly spread among the passengers. According to media reports, 18 people have died in the stampede. While more than 25 are reported to be injured. At the same time, many injured are being treated in the hospital. Samajwadi party has reacted to this incident.

SP wrote through its social media, 'Extremely sad! Information of casualties due to stampede in the panic to catch the train going to Prayagraj at New delhi Railway Station, heartbreaking. May god give peace to the souls of the dead, wishing the injured a speedy recovery. Deep condolences to the bereaved families.' At the same time, after this incident, Railway minister ashwini Vaishnav said that the situation is under control. Railways has ordered a high-level inquiry into the incident. While the Chief Emergency Medical Officer of LNJP Hospital has confirmed the death of 15 people. These include 10 women and three children. However, three more people died later after going to the hospital.

Some injured have also been taken to Lady Harding Medical College. ashwini Vaishnav said that delhi Police and Railway Protection Force have reached the spot and the injured have been sent to the hospital. He said that the operation of special trains has been started so that the sudden huge crowd can be removed. Vaishnav wrote on 'X', "The situation at New delhi Railway Station is under control. Special trains are being run to remove the sudden crowd." Railways said that the incident happened around 9.30 pm. Railways said that there was a lot of crowd on both the platforms, due to which some people fainted. After this a stampede-like situation arose.
