
Yogi government gets big relief in maha Kumbh stampede case!
UP's yogi government has got a big relief from allahabad High court in the case related to the stampede that took place on Mauni Amavasya on january 29 in Prayagraj maha Kumbh. allahabad High court has disposed of the PIL filed regarding the stampede incident. In the hearing held in allahabad High court today on monday (24 February), the UP government informed that the scope of the judicial commission's investigation has been increased. The investigation has also included such points, which were demanded in the PIL. The judicial commission has also been given an additional month's time for investigation.
On this basis, allahabad High court has disposed of the PIL. Former General Secretary of allahabad High court Bar Association suresh Chandra Pandey had filed the PIL. The matter was heard in the division bench of Chief Justice Arun Bhansali and Justice Kshitij Shailendra. The court has said that the petitioner can put his views before the judicial commission.
If not satisfied with the report of the judicial commission, the court can come again. allahabad High court had sought information from the UP government in the last hearing. The court had asked the UP government whether the scope of the judicial commission's investigation can be increased.
A PIL was filed demanding correct details
Whether this can include identifying the number of casualties and looking into other complaints related to the stampede or not. A PIL was filed demanding that the investigation be done under judicial supervision and correct details of the people missing after the incident be given. The court had said that till now the commission's jurisdiction does not include investigating other relevant details of the stampede. In the PIL, many demands were made including locating the missing people and correct counting of the victims in the stampede, formation of a monitoring committee.
