

Mahashivratri in Mahakumbh: Appeal issued to devotees!
On the occasion of Mahashivratri, devotees will take the last bath in Mahakumbh. In view of the crowd on the festival of Mahashivratri, the fair administration is fully prepared. The fair area has been declared a no vehicle zone from 4:00 pm today. In view of the increasing crowd on Mahashivratri, devotees have been appealed to take a dip only at their nearest bathing ghats.
Devotees coming from South Jhunsi have been appealed to take a bath at Airavat Ghat. The fair administration has asked the devotees coming from North Jhunsi to take a bath at Sangam Harishchandra Ghat and Sangam Old GT Ghat. The devotees coming on the parade should take a bath at Sangam Dwar Bhardwaj Ghat, Sangam Dwar Nagvasuki Ghat, Sangam Dwar Mori Ghat, Sangam Dwar Kalighat, Sangam Dwar Ramghat and Sangam Dwar Hanuman Ghat. Devotees coming from Arail area should take a bath at Sangam Dwar Arail Ghat.
No restriction on movement of essential goods
On Mahashivratri, the movement of vehicles carrying any essential goods like milk, vegetables, medicines, petrol-diesel, ambulances etc. and vehicles of government employees, doctors, police, administration, military etc. will not be stopped in the fair area. Devotees have been appealed to take bath at the nearby ghats, visit shiva temples and then proceed towards their destination.
In view of crowd management and traffic management in the Mahakumbh fair, pontoon bridges will be operated keeping in view the crowd. The fair administration has appealed to the devotees that bathing at all the ghats has equal recognition. Therefore, devotees should return after bathing at the nearby ghats in view of the crowd on Mahashivratri bathing festival. Mahakumbh is now nearing its end. In such a situation, there is a high possibility of increase in the crowd of devotees on Mahashivratri.
