Crowds swelled before Mahashivratri, administration alert!

The last bath is to be held on the festival of Mahashivratri on Wednesday, 26 february in Prayagraj Mahakumbh. In such a situation, a large number of devotees are expected to come to Kumbh, in view of which the administration has already started preparations. Six senior IPS officers have been deployed in Prayagraj mela area on Mahashivratri.

Six more IPS officers have been sent for better traffic on Mahashivratri bath of Mahakumbh. Among them, one ADG and five IGs have been sent for traffic management in Prayagraj Kumbh Mela. Among them, ADG PAC Sujit Pandey as well as IG Chandra Prakash, Preetendra Singh, Rajesh modak and Manjil saini have also been deployed for traffic management. Each officer has been given the responsibility of managing the traffic of different routes.

These six officers were deployed

- ADG PAC Sujit Pandey will manage the Prayagraj Mirzapur highway

- IPS Chandra Prakash will look after the traffic of Prayagraj varanasi route

- IG Preetinder Singh will manage the traffic of Prayagraj Rewa highway

- IG Rajesh modak will manage the traffic of the urban area of Prayagraj

- IG Manjil saini in Vigilance will look after the traffic of lucknow and ayodhya Pratapgarh route

The responsibility of traffic management on all the 7 major routes coming towards Prayagraj was given to the senior police officer. A large number of devotees are reaching Prayagraj Mahakumbh every day. This time tremendous enthusiasm is being seen among the people about Mahakumbh. Often after Magh Purnima, the number of people coming to Kumbh used to decrease but this time it is not so. people are still continuously reaching Kumbh.

On Wednesday, on Mahashivratri, more number of devotees are expected to reach Sangam, in view of which preparations have been made in advance by the administration. Often, there is a problem of heavy traffic jam in Prayagraj and surrounding areas on special bathing days or weekends, in view of which the administration has made preparations in advance. Prayagraj has been declared a no vehicle zone from today.
